Volunteers

Currently Archives is looking for volunteers to assist in a variety of projects such as:

 -  Display Committee: We aim to rotate all display items in the museum every term. This involves deciding on themes, selecting museum items, display arrangement; signage (may require research). Volunteers should be able to meet up once a week and work together as a team as this is an ongoing job. This requires a lot of commitment.

-  Photograph Project: There are thousands of photographs that need to be sorted, placed into albums, numbered, scanned, identified and entered into a database. This can be done at times convenient for you and you can either work together with other people or independently. Any amount of time you can volunteer for this is appreciated.

-  Research Projects: If you love independent study and learning all about particular topics, this is for you.

-  Blazers: Approximately 50 blazers need to be checked for condition and photographed for preservation and record keeping.

-  Maps and Charts: There is a map cabinet absolutely full of architectural drawings that needs to be sorted and entered into the database.

-  Museum Items: A hundred or so museum items need to be identified, condition checked, photographed and entered into the database.

All equipment needed to complete these projects will be provided; all we need is your time and your enthusiasm! Please contact Kate Riseley for more information: ph: (02) 9900 4765 email: kriseley@shore.nsw.edu.au
